ABOUT BIGGER BEAST RECORDS
Bigger Beast Records is an independent record label and creative collective built around a simple belief: artists are stronger when they work together.
Founded in Connecticut in 2024 by nationally touring singer-songwriter Frank Viele, Bigger Beast began as an alternative to the traditional record-label model. After graduating #1 from the Marist College School of Business, interning throughout the major-label industry, and then spending more than 15 years navigating the road as an independent artist, Viele had experienced the music business from both sides of the desk. Rather than waiting for someone else to build the infrastructure he believed independent artists needed, he decided to start building it himself.
What began as a record label quickly became something much larger.
Today, Bigger Beast is powered by a volunteer collective of independent artists, producers, engineers, educators, music-industry professionals, presenters, community builders, and passionate music lovers who contribute their individual experience, relationships, and talents toward a shared mission. Everyone brings an area of expertise, but nobody around here has only one job. We wear countless hats, roll up our sleeves, and step into whatever role is needed to help the artists, the organization, and one another succeed.
Our work stretches well beyond releasing records. Bigger Beast creates recording and video opportunities, develops educational and songwriter programs, connects artists with mentors and industry resources, and works to create new pathways for independent artists to build sustainable creative careers.
Through our community outreach and event-programming arm, All Boats Rise Entertainment, that ecosystem extends into the communities around us. All Boats Rise produces concerts, festivals, songwriter gatherings, educational workshops, and mission-driven events while building partnerships with independent venues, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and the communities they serve.
At the center of it all is the independent artist.
We believe great songs deserve the opportunity to be heard. We believe sustainable artistic careers require more than streams, followers, and algorithms. They require stages to play, people to learn from, communities to belong to, audiences willing to listen, and other artists willing to lend a hand.
We also believe music can make an impact far beyond the stage. Through All Boats Rise Entertainment events and community partnerships, our collective efforts have helped raise more than $100,000 for charitable causes, supporting organizations addressing housing insecurity, mental health, animal welfare, food insecurity, and other community needs.
We’re not interested in recreating the old music industry on a smaller scale. We’re interested in exploring what an independent music ecosystem can look like when artists, industry professionals, music lovers, venues, businesses, nonprofits, and communities stop operating independently of one another and start building together.
Artists helping artists. Music strengthening communities. And a whole lot of people willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work.
That’s Bigger Beast Records.
